Make Your Own Products with 3D Printing

Turn yourself into an action figure or make your own earings as 3D technology changes the future of how we buy and make our products.
3D Printers will certainly change the way things are done. Imagine making your own prototypes without having to go to any large company that will work with you.
With this technology, anyone can get a 3D printer and make whatever they want in no time at all.
CAD will definitely get a boost from this. All students should take some kind of CAD course if they want to compete in the jobs of the future. Even though the technology will do most of the work, it will be good to know how to do things the old way to make it even easier for you to understand the new way.

It was time to move away from printing solid objects and try to print moving objects. In this video I scale up a planetary gear setup.

What is a 3D Printer?

A 3D Printer is a type of machine that works from cad drawings to create things from plastic in 3D. It works from a spool of plastic that gets melted and added to the appropriate places, building it up until the part in question is completed.
Many things can be made from a 3D printer including but not limited to small parts, simple car parts, gun parts, and even whole guns can be made using a 3D printer. Anyone with a knowledge of CAD/CAM can produce parts that are the exact dimensions needed without much work to be done when the part is completed.

I have now had my Ultimaker for a year, so i thought i'd make a video to show what i have used it for. I have used it almost every day, i design and print a lot of stuff including toys, figures , helicopters and others too.
